Standards - Executive Summary (Technology Transfer Program (TTP))

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the Japanese (IHI) concept of Standards and their application in the actual working environment in IHI shipyards. As in the many other areas of study within the Technology Transfer Program (TIP), the objective of the study was to define possible beneficial and cost-saving elements or methodologies which could be instituted in Levingston and in other medium-size shipyards in the United States.
