Solventless Coating Evaluation and Test Program for Marine Use

Abstract

With the advent of Clean Air Regulations the Marine Industry has been confronted with reducing the amount of volatile organic compounds liberated during ship painting operations. One means of eliminating or sharply reducing effluent solvent air-pollution is through the use of 100% solids (solventless) coatings. This prqject is a first step approach to establishing the suitability of using high solids paints and coatings for marine applications
