Feasibility of Screening for Antibiotic Resistance-Part II

Abstract

Possibilities for screening antibiotic resistance were investigated PCR on acquired resistance genes was shown to be possible, but a large task to develop. Mutation analysis (using PCR and DNA sequencing) in the case of ciprofloxacin resistance was shown to be effective. This approach was developed for several strains. One strain was made resistant to validate the method.
