Infusing Producibility into Advanced Submarine Design (The National Shipbuilding Research Program)

Abstract

The Seawolf submarine design is promoting the employment of a variety of advanced ship design and production techniques. Major goals of the design are to fully support a zone construction program, capture the data base in a digital format, provide digital products for construction and logistics support and to simplify, as much as possible, the construction effort.
