2005 Defense Economics Conference: Perspectives on the Military Medical Mission

Abstract

Since 1991, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Program Analysis and Evaluation, and the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) have conducted a conference on defense economics. In 2005, the conference was oriented towards the military medical mission. It provided an opportunity to consider the future of, international perspectives on, and alternatives to the current military medical force structure. This document contains the proceedings of the 2005 conference, which was held at IDA on September 22, 2005.
