Toekomstvisie op Verstrekking en Ontwikkeling van Kleding op Basis van Scangegenereerde Gegevens (Scan Based Distribution and Development of Clothing)

Abstract

The Clothing & Personal Equipment Branch of the Ministry of Defence uses body scanning to determine body dimensions of personnel of the Ministry of Defence and to provide an individual advice on clothing size or an advice for made-to-measure clothing. The number of correct advises currently achieved with body scanning is overestimated. The Clothing & Personal Equipment Unit requested TNO Defence Security and Safety to look for ways to increase the number of correct advises and to provide a road map for the Clothing & Personal Equipment Unit based on body scanning and developments in clothing networks and clothing technology.
