U.S. Army Environment Center Environmental Quality Technology Development, Demonstration and Transfer Activities

Abstract

The report summarizes the U.S. Army Environmental Center's activities in environmental technology to potential users within the Army and to research and development organizational counterparts in the other military services and to pertinent non-DOD federal agencies. In accordance with the DOD Environmental Quality R&D Plan, these programs provide support for implementation of remedial actions at Department of Army installations; cost- effective reuse or recycling of waste, obsolete, or excess material; and more cost-effective treatment of toxic and hazardous wastes resulting from Army industrial activities.
