Engineering Evaluation of UXO Detection Technologies and Interrogation Methodologies for Use in Panama: Empire, Balboa West and Pina Ranges

Abstract

This report covers the UXO detection technology and interrogation methodology evaluations conducted on site in Panama on the Empire, Balboa West and Pina Ranges. The data collected was used to evaluate the capabilities and limitations of UXO detection technologies and interrogation methodologies in Panama. This report provides a summary of commercially available technologies and examines the issues associated with implementing technologies in the Panamanian environment. Impacts to the environment are examined to determine the effects technologies would potentially have on the environment if implemented.
