Multi-Role Armament & Ammunition System (MRAAS) Cannon

Abstract

Future Combat System (FCS) is planned as a multi-functional, multi-mission reconfigurable system of systems to maximize transportability and commonality of mission roles. The FCS-MRASS (Multi-Role Armament & Ammunition System) program seeks to aid the Army in determining its needs and then to identigy and advance armament and ammunition technologies that will meet those needs. This briefing reports on a new cannon and accompanying ammunition currently under development.
