Strategic Air Command Operations Order Dominic Serial Number 17-62

Abstract

The President has directed the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) and the Department of Defense (DOD) to plan for a series of nuclear tests starting approximately 1 April 1962. These tests will be conducted in the Pacific Ocean in the general area of Christmas and Johnston Islands. The unclassified nickname for this operation is Dominic. SAC's participation in these tests is as outlined in this operations order.
