Thermographic Tools for Quality Control and Damage Assessment of Z-Pinned Composite Space Structures

Abstract

It would appear that lockin thermography could "just" assess the presence and distribution of the z pins in the composite structures. It was also possible to detect thickness variations specimens that were approximately 12 mm thick.
