Military Standard: Sanitary Standards for Equipment and Methods for the Handling of Milk and Milk Products in Bulk Milk Dispensing Operations

Abstract

This standard establishes the sanitary requirements for the materials, design, and construction of containers and equipment used in dispensing milk and milk products from bulk dispensers. This military standard is mandatory for use in CONUS and to the extent feasible in overseas commands. This standard is primarily intended to insure clean, wholesome food products that are free from chemical, microbiological, and physical contaminants to prevent the transmission of foodborne disease to members of the Armed Forces.
