Spring 2006. Industry Study. Health Care Industry

Abstract

Despite the trillions of dollars spent on the United States health care industry there are major systemic problems For many Americans the health care industry is a complicated and disorganized array of systems and processes that are inaccessible, unaffordable, and of low quality with increasing technological change. Americans expect more out of the health care delivery system. The lessons learned from this report are that there is an urgent need to develop a national health care strategy, a rationale for health care spending and a system that provides some level of health care for everyone.
