Alkylating Derivatives of Vitamin D Hormone for Prostate Cancer
Abstract
The two most significant achievements in this reporting period are : launching of studies to evaluate the molecular mechanism/s of action of. I 25-dihydroxyvitamin D3-3-bromoacetate (I 25(OH)2D3-3-BE) and development of an androgen- sensitive mouse model of human prostate cancer. In addition we have screened several cancer cell lines to determine potential efficacy of I 25(OH)2D3-3-BE in cancers in addition to prostate cancer.
