Focus on Mission Teams: Report on a Warfare System Engineering Workshop

Abstract

This report is the product of an effort to reinvent the Navy's process for transforming operational needs into warfare systems and combatants. The objective is to articulate a framework and strategy that fosters teamwork across organizational lines to crate a new generation of warships, designed from the keel up to enable onboard mission teams to act as integral parts of a joint operating force and to set a new standard in life cycle effectiveness.
