Abstract

This White Paper charts US Air Force strategy for the next two decades and defines the Air Force's indispensable role in promoting and defending the national interest. In framing the strategic imperatives that face the United States and its Air Force, the paper lays out the urgent actions required to cope with today's and tomorrow's challenges. Accordingly, this White Paper is a definitive statement of Air Force intent to maintain its role as the guardian of America's freedom, security and prosperity-the Nation's force of first and last resort.
