Embedded Command and Control for the Soldier

Abstract

This paper explores a novel blending of the Soldier's tactical sensors with embedded sensors and systems in order to provide Soldiers and their commanders with improved situational awareness. This paper will describe this concept, discuss some of the notional information exchanges, highlight some of the technical challenges and practical aspects of this approach to small unit battle command.
