Particle Tracking Model (PTM) in the SMS 10: IV. Link to Coastal Modeling System

Abstract

This Coastal and Hydraulics Engineering Technical Note (CHETN) describes the coupling between the Particle Tracking Model (PTM) and the Coastal Modeling System (CMS). It familiarizes users with the PTM-CMS coupling interface as implemented inside the Surfacewater Modeling System Version 10 (SMS10). The steps necessary for preparing solutions of two-dimensional CMS-Flow and CMS-Wave models for input to the PTM are described, and two examples are given.
