COTS Impact to RM&S from an ISEA Perspective

Abstract

Mission of NSWC Port Hueneme is integrate, test, evaluate and provide life-cycle engineering and logistics for today's and tomorrow's warfare systems. There are sustainment challenges as the Navy moves to Open Architecture. NSWC Port Hueneme is analyzing impact and developing interim and long term solutions. The command is working on solutions to the problem of inaccurate data from manufacturers. The command recognizes the changing architecture requires changes how it provide in-service to the fleet.
