Extracting Coherent Structure From High Frequency Ocean Noise and Expansion to Extracting Coherent Structure From High Frequency Ocean Noise

Abstract

This research intended to demonstrate that the two-point acoustic time domain Green's function (TDGF) could be obtained in the ocean using natural surface noise. The potential feasibility of the proposed research was suggested by our preliminary work using shipping noise which we briefly review here as a indication of the components necessary to conduct the research contained within the proposed effort.
