Abstract
What is the OPS TEST Application? The Institute for Information Technology Applications' Operational Test and Evaluation Support Tool (OPS TEST) is an automated testing environment that includes a repository of training and evaluation test items and tests. Specific functions provided are: Ability to add new and update existing test items, which are held as Microsoft Word documents with their associated reference information; Ability to build new and maintain existing master tests and to create specific instances of these tests for crew members to take; Ability to selectively retrieve, track, and record test results; Ability to selectively analyze the performance of specific test items to assess their quality and effectiveness; Ability of crew members to take formal training and evaluation tests on-line with automatic grading and feedback to the test-taker; Ability of crew members to access the Master Question Files and to build and take practice tests from these files with immediate feedback on each question. This manual is intended for several audiences to include: Test Administrators: Primarily training and standardization/evaluation personnel responsible for building, maintaining, tracking, and analyzing formal tests.
