Environmental Assessment for Replace Family Housing Phase IV at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana

Abstract

The United States Air Force "Air Force", as the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron (341 CES) proposes to demolish 100 existing family housing units and rebuild 94 in their place. This is the fourth phase of housing upgrades, with several additional phases to follow. This Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared to analyze the potential environmental consequences associated with the Proposed Action and No Action Alternatives in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 (?42 United States Code [USC]4321-4347), Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Regulations for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA (?40 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] 1500-1508), and Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32-7061, Environmental Impact Analysis Process (?32 CFR 989, et seq.).
