Guidelines for Mass Casualty Decontamination During a HAZMAT/Weapon of Mass Destruction Incident. Volumes 1 and 2

Abstract

The U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) published two reports on mass casualty decontamination after a terrorist chemical attack as part of the Nunn-Lugar-Domenici Domestic Preparedness Program. At the time of this study, the "Guidelines for Mass Casualty Decontamination During a Terrorist Chemical Agent Incident" and "Guidelines for Cold Weather Mass Decontamination" were about 8 years old. The U.S. Army Chemical Biological, Radiological and Nuclear School required an updated version of these reports for their development of decontamination doctrine. The School tasked ECBC to update the original reports. Accordingly, ECBC formed and led a team to update the original reports.
