Enterprise Architecture as a Tool of Navy METOC Transformation

Abstract

The Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (NAVMETOCCOM) is transforming its business model and processes to better align with the Naval warfighter. Information Technology (IT) is an enabler for this transformation. This paper will discuss how the transformational IT strategy based on the tenets of Net-Centric Operations and Warfare (NCOW) and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) are being managed and applied in the NAVMETOCCOM Enterprise Architecture.
