Simulator Test and Evaluation

Abstract

This TOP provides procedures for evaluating a simulator. It is geared towards a helicopter simulator but could also be used for a fixed-wing aircraft simulator. Simulators are designed with a limited mission. Full understanding of that mission is required so that an appropriate evaluation can be made. Failure to evaluate to the specific mission will result in shortcomings and deficiencies being identified that are outside of the intent of the simulator designer and as such, would be misleading to any reader of the evaluation.
