Air Force Flight Test Center Engineering Logistics Plan Preparation Guide. Technical Information Handbook

Abstract

The Air Force Flight Test Center Engineering Logistics Plan Preparation Guide provides established guidelines to assist authors in preparing technically accurate and clearly written transition and turnover documents for acquisition projects. The guide format allows the plan author the flexibility to tailor the engineering logistics plan for various reasons, such as project size and type of system under development. The goal is to turn over a fully functional and documented system that meets all documented customer requirements. It is imperative that all acquisition and development projects be accurately documented from the time the idea is conceived and requirements established through the turnover of the item to the final owner/customer. The objective of this handbook is to standardize the required elements and procedures for the preparation of an engineering logistics plan. The Engineering Logistics Plan Preparation Guide is organized into three sections: Introduction, Sections of an Engineering Logistics Plan, and References. There are nine appendices that include templates, sample documents, and a master list of abbreviations, acronyms, and symbols. A sample engineering logistics plan is provided so the reader can see how all the elements fit together.
