Official Guard and Reserve Manpower Strengths and Statistics. FY 2008 Summary

Abstract

This report contains six sections. The first section is a recapitulation of the end strength numbers and profile of the Reserve components, represented in various "A" reports. The second section consists of the "G" reports, providing accession information. The summary and profiles of Selected Reserve losses make up the third section, designated by the "L" reports. The "M" and "X" reports in the fourth section provide reenlistment and continuation data. The fifth section provides information on retired Reservists depicted in three "V" reports. The final section is a collection of four reports compiled from the manual reporting of Operation Support Duty from each military service as required by section 115 of Title 10 U.S.C. The information summarized in this report reflects the official Department of Defense position and forms the basis for manpower planning, strength accounting and budgeting through the Department. The information contained herein may be released to individuals and agencies outside the Department of Defense.
