War Modeling & Simulation. Let's Start at the End - A Very Good Place to Start

Abstract

This briefing presents the idea that to boost our success in war, we should think about starting our strategy and modeling and simulation (M&S) at the end of the war rather than at the beginning. What is a desirable outcome? Wars take place in systems that must change appropriately. How do you want the systems to change? By starting at the end, the M&S community can help policy makers make smart war decisions.
