Best Practices for Technology Transition

Abstract

The following were discussed in these briefing charts: knowledge based acquisition model, knowledge is not just TRLs, objectives of the report, private industry findings, Department of Defense findings, and recommendations. Report objectives are: identify techniques used by leading private companies to transition mature technologies to product lines by product launch; assess practices used by the military services to transition technology; and determine potential technology transition practices DoD could use to improve its weapon systems outcomes.
