Status of Department of Defense (DoD) Explosives Safety Criteria for Non-DoD Owned Explosives on DoD Installations

Abstract

In September 1996, the Chairman of the DoD Explosives Safety Board (DDESB) designated the U.S. Air Force to lead a working group composed of all Services and appropriate government agencies to examine the need for new DoD explosives safety criteria regarding the placement of non-DoD operations or activities on DoD installations.
