Belkinius, a New Subgenus of Aedes and a Description of Ae. (Blk.) aurotaeniatus Edwards (Diptera: Culicidae)

Abstract

Belkinius, a new subgenus of Aedes Meigen, is defined and compared to other subgenera of the genus. A single included species, Ae. (Blk.) aurotaeniatus Edwards, is described and illustrated and information is given on its type-data, distribution and bionomics.
