Technology Roundtable...Sharing New Ideas

Abstract

How do we address the issues that shape society? These include poverty, infectious diseases, environmental degradation, inter-state war, civil war, genocide, transnational organized crime, political corruption, financial collapse, climate change, and lack of clean water. Is Western technology sustainable in infrastructure-austere areas of Africa? How do we address austere infrastructure? How do we plan for changes in fuel type and availability? How do we best leverage the data explosion from commercial and governmental earth observation systems? Do we build a global space partnership, or expand existing sharing efforts (e.g., Collaboration in Space for International Global Maritime Awareness, or C-SIGMA. What new technologies should the military embrace to enhance security and stability (e.g., information technology, green technology, trans-cultural technology)? Why is it easier to find information and reviews of obscure consumer products than usable information on developing technology? We need a combination of a Wiki and an Amazon-like product search with user reviews.
