Abstract

The primary purpose of tins project is to carry out applied research and development projects and build research capacity in areas of interest to the Department of Defense and the Office of Naval Research. Research areas include communications, computing, command and control, sensors, coastal monitoring, force protection and performance, bio- and chemical-hazard detection and mitigation, vulnerability assessment, new materials and devices, data acquisition, optical and radar imaging, autonomous vehicles and robots, alternative energy sources and energy efficiency.
