Notes on Some Mosquito Types Deposited in France

Abstract

The type-specimens of Aedes nyounae Hamon and Adam, Aedes reali Hamon and Adam, Anopheles hancocki var. masseguini Hamon, Culex shoae Hamon and Ovazza, Culex roubaudi Borel, Culex punctiscapularis Floch and Abonnenc, Culex rabanicolus Floch and Abonnenc, Culex castor de Meillon and Lavoipierre and Eretmapodites pauliani Grjebine, with their disposition previously listed elsewhere, questionable or unknown, have been located in France. The type-specimens for Anopheles canorii Floch and Abonnenc, Culex cauchensis Floch and Abonnenc, Culex cavernicolus Floch and Abonnenc, Culex cayennensis Floch and Abonnenc and Culex equinoxialis Floch and Abonnenc, reported to be in the Institut Pasteur, Paris, could not be found.
