Distributed Control of Resources in the Force Protection Joint Experiment (FPJE)

Abstract

The FPJE was tasked to create a system of systems (SoS) within the realm of Force Protection. It was sponsored by Physical Security Equipment Action Group (PSEAG) and Joint Program Manager - Guardian (JPM-G), and was managed by the Product Manager - Force Protection Systems (PMFPS). The experiment attempted to understand the challenges of integrating disparate systems into a cohesive, operationally effective SoS, and the resulting additional challenges of managing data flow into the system and its dispersion to all subscribed Command and Control (C2) nodes.
