Information and Communications Technology Industry. Industry Study, Spring 2008

Abstract

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry is vital to the United States' national security and our economic strength, and has been the catalyst for the economic boom observed in the world over the past ten years. Because of its strategic importance, the ICAF has commissioned the ICT industry study group to examine the economic, strategic, and technological strengths and weaknesses of the domestic and international companies that make up this industry. The Group synthesized the knowledge to formulate a comprehensive view of the ICT industry and formed recommendations for government's role in facilitating ICT industry growth and development.
