Assessing the State-of-the-Art in Dynamic Discovery of Ad Hoc Network Services

Abstract

These briefing charts discuss Ad Hoc Network Services. Topics discussed are: introduction to dynamic discovery protocols, modeling and analysis, measurement, and project plans for FY02. Dynamic discovery protocols enable network elements (including software clients and services, as well as devices): to discover each other without prior arrangement, to express opportunities for collaboration, to compose themselves into larger collections that cooperation to meet an application need and to detect and adapt to changes in network topology.
