Evaluation of the Blastx3.5 Computer Model for Explosion Blast Analysis and Siting of Underground Magazines

Abstract

This paper presents an evaluation of the accuracy and reliability of the BLASTX3.5 computer model for making predictions of the internal airblast effects aned external airblast hazard distances produced by accidental explosions in underground magazines. Comparisons are made between BLASTX3.5 calculations and test data from a selected set of large-scale non-responding magazine experiments.
