UK Regular Forces Stationed Location at 1 October 2009

Abstract

This publication, produced by Defence Analytical Services and Advice (DASA), Ministry of Defence, was released on 26 November 2009 according to the arrangements approved by the United Kingdom Statistics Authority. All data for this publication are taken from the Joint Personnel Administration (JPA) system. Due to ongoing validation of data from this system, all location data are currently provisional, out of scope of National Statistics and subject to review. The Tri-Service total strength has increased by 2.8% from 186,170 on 1 October 2008 to 191,320 on 1 October 2009. The Tri-Service total strength stationed in the United Kingdom has increased by 4.4% from 158,630 on 1 October 2008 to 165,680 on 1 October 2009.
