Performance Research Integration Tool (IMPRINT Pro) Maintenance Model Enhancements
Abstract
This report summarizes a yearlong effort devoted to the improvement of a human performance simulation of the flightline maintenance and sortie generation process for the Air Force 711th Human Performance Wing. The simulation is known as the Air Force Human Systems Integration Improved Performance Research Integration Tool Maintenance Model - or the AF HSI IMPRINT Mx Model. The effort described here is the continuation of a previous effort that analyzed Air Force operational metrics and identified human performance determinants of mission success, including environmental, safety, and occupational health considerations of the F-15C Eagle weapon system using IMPRINT, a free for government use task-network human performance simulation tool for analyzing Warfighter-System interaction. This report describes the latest version of the AF HSI IMPRINT Mx Model and the enhancements implemented by the project team to improve upon the original simulation. The enhancements include the addition of five new weapon systems (C-17 Globemaster III, CV-22 Osprey, F-15E Strike Eagle, MQ-1 Predator, and MQ-9 Reaper), dynamic charting of operational metrics, an intuitive graphical user interface for Air Force analysts, and the incorporation of a physiological stressor for modeling fatigue.
