Long-term goals: Development of algorithms for improved retrievals of inherent water optical properties (IOP) from satellite imagery of coastal waters with current and future sensors utilizing: 1) NIR and UV channels, 2) water polarization characteristics and 3) advanced atmospheric correction schemes.
