Distal Biceps Tendon Rupture

Abstract

This article discusses the evaluation and treatment of a 56-year-old man with complete rupture of the distal biceps tendon. The mechanism of injury, symptoms, and findings at physical examination may suggest the diagnosis. However, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and, to a lesser extent, sonography can define the point of tear and can be used in pre-operative planning.
