Binaslawa Middle School Under the Commander's Emergency Response Program, Erbil, Iraq

Abstract

This project assessment was initiated as part of SIGIR's continuing assessments of projects funded under the Commander's Emergency Response Program. The overall objectives were to determine whether Commander's Emergency Response Program-funded projects were complying with the terms of their contracts or task orders and to evaluate the effectiveness of the monitoring and controls exercised by administrative quality assurance and contract officers. The objective of the Binaslawa Middle School construction project is to support the emphasis of the Kurdistan Regional Government on education by meeting the heightened demand for schools caused by the increased population in the area. The school will meet the demand for a new village of 600 families that were relocated from the city's old citadel area.
