Leadership and Reorganization. A New Model for the Air Force
Abstract
Although training and education are crucial in developing aerospace leaders, it is far more important that officers start honing leadership abilities early in their careers and begin developing an appreciation for the breadth of the aerospace mission through experience outside their specialties. In this provocative article, Colonel Fawcett proposes a substantial change in the Air Force's organizational structure that pushes leadership down to the lower ranks and drastically reduces the number of major commands.
