Abstract
This monograph describes the establishment and development of classification and assignment of enlisted men, other than flying personnel, in the Army air arm. Beginning with American entry into World War I and ending with V-J Day in 1945, this study attempts to analyze principles and policies, to narrate the general procedures and operations, and to discuss some major problems encountered in the classification and assignment system.
