Whatever Happened to Joint Vision 2010

Abstract

To examine Joint Vision 2010 in the year 2010 allows us to assess its goals and desires against the realities of today. The reason we strive for unity of effort and improved efficiencies is that the U.S. Armed Forces remains a standard for excellence today just as it did in 1996. Our leaders recognize that the only way to navigate this road to excellence requires a vision. As the nation grapples with unprecedented fiscal deficits, wavering international influence, and the exigencies of ongoing wars, the effectiveness of that vision and the progress made toward attaining it is worth examining.
