Intelligence Strategy: New Challenges and Opportunities. NDIC-ODNI Conference Proceedings 26-27 September 2007

Abstract

Together with my co-host, Assistant Deputy Director of National Intelligence Pat Gorman, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to this conference on "Intelligence Strategy: New Challenges and Opportunities." We are covering important ground today and tomorrow, with expert speakers and panelists addressing this new era of intelligence reform, the accomplishments thus far, the direction we must take, and the specific goals we must meet. These are goals that we are intent on meeting as we provide for the intelligence needs to safeguard the homeland, to enable our commanders in the field to succeed, and to meet the nation's commitments and advance the nation's interests around the globe.
