Integrated Information Technology Policy Analysis Research, CSUSB

Abstract

The Integrated Information Technology Policy Analysis Research (IITPAR) assists the US Army through the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) in identifying and breaking down legislative and bureaucratic barriers to the use of information technology on the battlefield. Putting the right technology into the right hands at the right time will save the lives of soldiers in combat. The Principal Investigator, Dr. Clifford O. Young, directs a team of policy experts at California State University, San Bernardino and collaborates with leading research scientists at the ARL, Network Science Center at the United States Military Academy at West Point, and the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition in Pensacola, Florida. This collaborative effort is advancing the US Army's transformation to Network Centric Operations/Network Centric Warfare through IITPAR. The objective is to translate an information advantage into a competitive warfighting advantage through the robust networking of well-informed geographically dispersed forces.
