Numerical Techniques and Cloud-Scale Processes for High-Resolution Models

Abstract

The long-term goal of this project is to design and evaluate the components that will comprise a next generation mesoscale atmospheric model within the Coupled Ocean/Atmosphere Mesoscale Prediction System (COAMPS(tm)1). It is anticipated that to meet future Navy requirements, next generation approaches to numerical techniques and physical parameterizations will be needed.
