Abstract

The Committee met, pursuant to notice, at 2:33 p.m., in Room SH-216, Hart Senate Office Building, the Honorable Dianne Feinstein (Chairman of the Committee) presiding. Committee Members Present: Senators Feinstein, Rockefeller, Wyden, Mikulski, Feingold, Whitehouse, Bond, Hatch, Snowe and Risch. Witnesses were Admiral Dennis Blair, the Director of National Intelligence, who provided a summary of the written statement he has submitted on behalf of the intelligence community; the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Leon Panetta; the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bob Mueller; the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lieutenant General Ron Burgess; and the Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Intelligence and Research, Ambassador John Dinger.
